Introduction
From time to time, you will have your own artwork files which you will need to send to us in order for us to produce signs, printing, web pages or other work. If you are sending us your own artwork then please follow these guidelines which will ensure problem-free production of your job. If you do not have your own artwork, we will be pleased to provide you a quote for artwork charges.
1. Computer Systems
Absolute Graphix operates Windows PCs and Apple Macs and we are happy to receive artwork generated on either format.

2. Fonts
We always without exception ask that any files which contain fonts have the fonts converted to outlines in order to eliminate font issues. Converting fonts to outlines is also known as converting them to "shapes". If this is not possible then we will require compatible fonts to be supplied with the art file. Compatible fonts must be either True Type, Open Type, or Type 1, but ideally we would prefer not to have to deal with font files at all.

3. File Types
Absolute Graphix can accept most standard art file types*. For images, we can accept the standard formats including:
JPEG
TIFF
EPS
PSD (PhotoShop with layers)
*Please observe our font requirements in item 2.

For artwork with composite elements (such as a page layout) we can accept:
Adobe Illustrator (AI)*
Adobe Illustrator EPS files (EPS)*
Adobe Photoshop EPS files (EPS)*
Portable Document Files (PDF)*
*Please observe our font requirements in item 2.

Photos
You can send us original photos which we will scan or you can send digital images / photos from digital cameras or from reputable online resources such as Dreamstime.com provided they are of a high quality. Avoid sending images from other websites or from Google Image Search. Aside from copyright issues, such images are rarely suitable for production use. You can find more information about online image libraries here.

IMPORTANT:
Absolute Graphix does not use QuarkXpress. Please do not supply art files in this format, instead collect and save the file as an EPS. We also cannot accept artwork files generated in any Microsoft products such as Word, Publisher, or Frontpage.

4. Delivering Artwork to us
(i) ON DISK
You can send artwork files on CD or DVD to our normal address.
(ii) BY EMAIL
You can email artwork files to us provided the file is under 6mb in size. Anything above this size will need to be supplied on CD or DVD. If your file is bigger than 6mb, you may be able to compress the file using Windows-compliant software such as WinZip or Mac software such as Stuff-it.
To email artwork files to us please use our email address which is:
info@absolutegraphix.co.uk
(iii) FTP SERVER
If you have a large file (basically anything over 6mb up to approx 600mb) then you can connect to our FTP server for an electronic file exchange. Find out more info here.
5. Things to Avoid...
If you wish to supply your own artwork and avoid an unwanted artwork charge then please observe the following:

Do not supply artwork in any Microsoft Office format such as Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, or Front Page. Please understand the distinction between "artwork" and "information" - it is perfectly okay to supply Word documents containing information about artwork but the Word document must not be the actual artwork itself.

Do not supply artwork in any native file format specific to a software package (for example .fla from a Flash application, .cdr from CorelDraw, etc), except Adobe Illustrator or Adobe PhotoShop.

Do not supply any artwork as 3D object files. We don't do these types of graphics!

Do not supply poor quality low-resolution images and expect us to be able to achieve great things with them!
If you have any questions about supplying artwork to us then please do not hesitate to contact us for further help.
