If you need new number plates for your motor then Absolute Graphix offers a highly versatile online service that allows you to create and order your own. Creating the number plates is easy and very quick, and you can choose from a range of common sizes, Euro-badges, and surface finishes.
Quality and Materials
Absolute Graphix number plates are manufactured from a 3mm thick lightweight acrylic with suitable reflective surface (either white or yellow). The Euro badge, border, registration numbers, and optional honeycomb effect are printed onto the plates using our high quality solvent print equipment, and finally laminated for ultimate weather protection and very long life. They are very easy to fix in place and will work with your choice of suitable outdoor double sided tapes or screw fixings.
Legal Standards
All our number plates comply with current UK legal standards; we do not provide fancy show plates or novelty plates. This means that all our number plates are 100% safe to use on your road vehicle without fear of breaking any laws.
Legal Requirements
It may be worth your while knowing the basic laws that govern UK number plates so that you can avoid heavy fines of up to £1000. In 2001, laws were changed which affect the use of fancy show plates and display "tricks" (such as placing a bolt strategically to change the appearance of characters).
What is required and permitted on UK road-legal number plates
Required:
 White reflective front plate.
Yellow reflective rear plate.
The registration number of the bearer vehicle in the mandatory font only.
Spacing and size of characters and character groups in accordance with the measurements specified in the regulations.
Variation is not permitted.
Permitted but not required:
3D variation of the mandatory font (not available from Absolute Graphix).
Non-reflective border.
National emblem and/or Euro symbol.
No additions or variations are permitted. Common illegal variations are:
Fancy or decorative typefaces strictly prohibited.
Bolts placed in such a way as to alter the appearance of characters strictly prohibited.
Adjusted spacing between characters or character groups strictly prohibited.
Altered characters strictly prohibited.
Additional logos or symbols, such as sporting emblems, rally logos, cartoons, and religious symbols strictly prohibited.
There are concessions for older and vintage cars. “Historic vehicles”, i.e. those built prior to 1973, are permitted to bear the old-style black plates of either plastic or traditional metal construction. These types of vintage plates are not available from Absolute Graphix.
