Your Business Image MUST look GREAT...ALWAYS!
And it isn't expensive!
Integrity. This is the major keyword you need to be aware of when you own a logo, brand identity or any type of visual business image. Maintaining the integrity of your company image does wonders for your business, strengthening your credibility, inspiring instant-recognition, and even producing a sense of pride in your products and services. The real value of a good business image should never be under-estimated.
What is a "Branding Package?"
Put simply, a branding package is a special design package that delivers integrity to your business image. For a relatively small outlay, you can rest assured that every time your logo is used online, in print, on signs, or even on TV ads, it will always conform to a set of "rules". The font will always be right, the colours will always be spot-on, the layout will always be perfect, and the general usage will always match your business philosophy and core values. This level of integrity is actually not difficult to achieve across the entire spectrum of media, even from lots of different suppliers, provided you have a good design guide (also known as a "brand manual"). This design guide is what we can create for you.
How does it work?
The design guide, or brand manual, can be a fairly simple guide to using a logo, set of fonts and colours, and so on, or it can be a deeply complex guidebook covering every aspect of your business image including the corporate values and philosophical reasons which determine the usage of certain images in certain places. The finished manual is presented to you in a format that you can easily pass on to all manner of suppliers and production processes (ie web design, colour printing, sign makers, etc).
An example
Here is a very basic example of what you can expect to see in a typical brand manual:
Let's assume we've designed this (fictional) logo for you...

First we establish the "build" of the logo which involves the unique iconographic shape of the logo, the overall layout including spacing, the fonts, and the colours...

Fonts (above) are always very clearly defined so that all suppliers and production processes can match them correctly.

Colours (above) are established and broken down into several easily-matched systems, normally using the universal Pantone colours system, CMYK and RGB values, and Web code. This ensures that all suppliers and production processes can get your colours right, every time.

Rules of usage are established to ensure that your image is always presented correctly and professionally. A list of rules may include such things as "exclusion zones" (shown above), alternative colour models which are acceptable, variations in layout which can and cannot be used, how to use with photographic imagery, and so on.
The manual can go on to great depth (if required) regarding stationery, vehicle livery, advertising expressions, T-shirt logos, in fact the entire range of items that may be covered in your company image.
What you will actually receive
When you get a brand package you actually receive the following:
The finished brand manual (design guide) in electronic format (PDF)
Full range of versions of your logo suitable for web, print, and other uses
Ongoing development of the brand manual if required
It all sounds expensive !?!
Not at all! Prices can be less than £100.00 (plus VAT) for a basic package. Each job is priced on its own merit depending on what your specific requirements are, but the cost is usually far less than people think and what's more it is a fantastic (and fairly small) investment to keep your business image looking great... always! |
